She was crowned Miss Orange County Teen Regional 2012 just a few months ago was held at the beautiful Huntington Beach Historic Auditorium in Huntington Beach, California.

Currently, Alexa Jones is a model and a college student at California State University in San Marcos, majoring in communications. After winning the Miss Orange County Teen Regional 2012 tittle for sometimes, she learned that her father died in a car accident.

One afternoon, during a rigorous training with her Pageant Director, Giselle Boone,http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif her phone rang. “She appeared to be worried and just really pale,” Giselle said. Alexa replied, “I just need to go home.” Alexa soon rushed back to San Diego with her Mother. She called her Dad to find out who got into a car accident but he never answered his cell phone. About half an hour, half way to San Diego, she received the horrible news that it was her father that died in a car crash.

Ximena Vargas, who represented Bolivia in Miss International 2010, was the first international beauty queen crowned in 2012: she was chosen as the new International Queen of Coffee, in an event held in the city of Manizales, Colombia. Vargas also won the Most Beautiful Face award.

Top 5: Indonesia (3rd), Colombia (2nd), Brazil (5th), Bolivia (1st), Venezuela (4th)

The 1st runner-up was Miss Colombia, Yoselín Rincón, the 2nd runner-up was Miss Indonesia, Laskary Andaly, the 3rd runner-up was Miss Venezuela, Gabriella Ferrari, and the 4th runner-up was Miss Brazil, Aline Reis.

Teresa Scanlan, a Nebraskan who won Miss America last year is getting ready to transfer her crown again to one of 53 pageant queens looking to prove they’ve got a winning combination of looks, talent and smarts to justify a yearlong run with the title.

To win, each will have to impress the panel in preliminary competitions that include an extensive interview to become one of the top 15 finalists.

More contestants will be eliminated Saturday night during swimsuit, evening gown and talent competitions.

The top five finalists will answer a question posed by one of the judges, who will score each of the contestants in each competition throughout the night.

Pageant officials announced the winners of preliminary competitions, including Miss Hawaii Lauren Cheape, Miss Oklahoma Betty Thompson and Miss Wisconsin Laura Kaeppeler for talent, and Miss New York Kaitlin Monte, Miss Texas Kendall Morris and Miss Utah Danica Olsen for swimsuit.

Officials also said Miss Idaho Genevieve Nutting won the $2,000 Fourpoints Award, while Miss Kentucky Ann-Blair Thornton won the $6,000 Quality of Life scholarship.

Daniela participated in the Miss Colombia 2011 pageant, representing the Caribbean coastal department of Atlantico. She received the highest score in the evening gown competition with a 9.6/10. The swimsuit scores have not been released to the public. Her goal is to graduate in the top ten percent of her high-school class and attend the college of her choice where she'll receive a degree in Broadcast Journalism. She'd love to one day be on the Today Show or E! Jordyn is actively involved in her school community. She is a member of the Varsity Volleyball team, the Sailing team and is a member of the Peer Ministry group. She has received the President's Award for Educational Achievement, the Community Service Citizenship Award and has been nominated twice for the People-to-People Ambassador program.

Jordyn began volunteering at a very young age in honor of family members with different diseases. Organizations close to her heart include the New England Organ Bank and the Greater New England: National MS Society. She grew to have a passion for helping others and became increasingly involved with a variety of organizations. Having volunteered over 700 hours, she was honored with a citation from former Governor Romney & the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in recognition of her work and accomplishments. She has been teaching fourth-grade catechism classes at her church for two years and believes that in order to have a strong future you need to build a belief of oneself in younger generations of children in order to ensure their success.

As well as placing 1RU at Miss Massachusetts Teen USA last year, Jordyn was also first runner-up at Miss Massachusett's Outstanding Teen 2010.

Stephanie is a 17-year-old senior at The John Carroll School in Bel Air, where she is an honors student and involved in the National Art Honors Society. Stephanie was born and raised in Maryland to Bulgarian parents, the reason she speaks fluent Bulgarian. At school, she has taken French and Russian language classes and hopes to become fluent in both languages as well.

Stephanie's hobbies include visual arts which she enjoys both at school and in her free time. Photography and drawing are some of Stephanie's favorite forms of art. Carissa resides in Waterloo and is currently a senior at Don Bosco High School in Gilbertville. She has both an older and younger sister and younger brother. She has been touring colleges and is still undecided on her college choice, but is currently planning on a major centering on dietetics, nutrition, or exercise science, with a minor in Spanish.

In high school, she is a high honor role student and is currently the Yearbook Editor, Student Council Vice President, and National Honor Society Secretary/Treasurer. She also started 'Volunteer Wednesdays' so students could have an opportunity to volunteer in the community the first two Wednesdays of every month. She played Varsity volleyball and has been a State Speech Qualifier every year. Biography

Kim, who is Filipino & Irish, is a senior this year at Skyview High School in Nampa, Idaho. She is the National Honor Society president and member of Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) and Idaho Drug Free Youth. In the summer of 2010, Kim traveled to Orlando, Florida, with a HOSA team and competed in the HOSA Bowl, a game show competition designed to test a wide array of knowledge over health care in general. Nationally, they placed 6th in the country and was one of the top ranking Idaho teams ever in that event.

Aside from clubs, Kim is an athlete in track and field and takes advantage of concurrent enrollment programs through colleges and AP classes. This year alone she is studying Literature, Calculus, Organic Chemistry, and Physics while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. Kim also enjoys volunteering in her community at the Salvation Army and the Canyon County Animal Shelter throughout the school months. On summer mornings, you'll most likely find her tutoring during the summer school program at the middle school she attended several years ago. In her free time, she likes to kick it and hang out with her best friends, adventure out to new places to eat, workout, and attend her school's sports events. A couple talents that Kim has been working on are her drawing abilities and guitar playing.

Some of the most important figures in Kim's life are her parents who have instilled within her a blunt determination to face any adversity in life, and the war veterans who have sacrificed their homes, families, and security, all so that we can maintain our own. After high school, Kim will continue with her education at a university most likely on the west coast. With a major in animal science or engineering, she hopes to later attend a school of veterinary medicine so that she can combine her love of animals, science, and medicine into a rewarding career benefiting not only animals but humans and society as well.

Jacqueline moved to the USA from Italy as a child, living with her grandmother and older brothers. When her parents moved to the USA they relocated to Colorado. While attending public high school, Jacqueline consistently worked part-time in retail sales, she was a party coordinator for childrenÕs events, and sharpened her people-skills as hostess at various local eateries. Home-schooling suited Jacqueline and her familyÕs life-style and she enjoyed the opportunity to travel with her mother to volunteer in Costa Rica and Mexico.

Jacqueline loves animals, particularly her tea-cup Chihuahua named Princess. She also an avid football fan and never misses putting on her favorite Tebow jersey to watch a Sunday night game with her family. Jacqueline entered college in the fall of 2011 and is pursuing a career in forensic pathology. She wants to obtain a degree in the biological sciences, then a medical degree, and complete a forensic pathology residency program. She hopes to one day serve as a coroner and assist in crime scene investigations.

MISS SWAZILAND WORLD 2012 - Ayanda Dube

ZULWINI, Swaziland - Ayanda Dube (23, Luyengo) was crowned Miss Swaziland 2012 at the Woodlands Hall in Ezulwini during a contest that saw 13 girls competing for the title. Nosipho Mkhwanazi and Telamsile Zubuko finished second and third, respectively. The winner is expected to represent Swaziland in Miss World 2012 in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China, on July 4.

MISS SOUTH AFRICA 2012 - Melinda Bam

The Miss South Africa 2011 pageant took place at Sun City’s Superbowl last night and the crown was snatched by 22-year old marketing graduate Melinda Bam.

The title of Second Princess went to 21-year-old Thuli Sangweni, who won the Miss Congeniality sash earlier in the evening too.

First Princess was won by 21-year-old Remona Moodley – the second time she’s held a similar title. She was First Princess to Zizo Beda in Miss SA Teen 2006.

The ceremony aired live on Mzansi Magic and was hosted by ProVerb - who hosted last year too – with Michelle McLean in the commentary booth and Bridget Masinga behind-the-scenes and on the red carpet.

The winner will compete in Miss World and Miss Universe 2012.

Miss Wyoming USA 2012, Holly Allen, is stepping up her preparation for the upcoming Miss USA 2012 Pageant. She was the guest speaker at the Rotary Club of Lander’s regular weekly meeting Dec. 29.

Born and raised in Lander and an integral part of her family’s dude ranch in the Wind River Mountains, Holly said she had done it all, from guiding guests, teaching dudes how to ride horses and to fish, and being the ranch chef. She said being in the outdoors has always been a part of her life, and that is one message that she is taking to each school she visits during her reign. “It’s so important for kids to get outside and be active, and I’m promoting that during my year,” she told the Rotarians.

Participating in pageants since she was 16 and in high school, Holly was the first runner-up in the 2011 Miss Wyoming USA Pageant. “It was an honor, but I didn’t want to be second place, so I went back and this year I won the crown.”

Holly received a Business and Marketing degree from California State University-Chico where she was on the executive board of her charity. Allen said she took some time off during her college to travel around Australia, including a month-long solo backpacking trip down under.

Outside of her pageant activities, Holly recruits IT staff for major corporations nationwide.

The Miss USA Pageant is held each summer in Las Vegas. “It’s much more than the one night you see on TV,” Allen said. “We’re there for three weeks of interviews, tours and pageant activities.”

MISS GABON UNIVERSE 2012 - Marie-Noelle Ada Meyo

Marie-Noelle Ada Meyo, 21, from the province of Ngouniéa, is the first ever Miss Universe Gabon. The pageant happened in Libreville, and was attended by Leila Lopes, Miss Universe 2011.

Divouvi Channa was the first runner-up and Nyangue Cherolle Boubéya was the second runner-up.

Located in western Africa, it was a French colony until 1960. About 1.5 million people live in the country.

As reported on November 8, 2011, Edmilza Nicosía Mota dos Santos, first runner-up of Miss Angola 2011, will represent Angola in Miss World 2012 in Ordos, Inner Mongolia next July.

The organizers of the Miss Angola pageant will launch the Miss Angola Mundo pageant next July and the winner will compete in Miss World 2013.

MISS SPAIN UNIVERSE 2012 - Andrea Huisgen Serrano

Andrea Huisgen Serrano, Miss Barcelona, was crowned Miss Spain 2011 during the annual event held at the Palacio de los Sueños in Sevilla on November 27th. Andrea, who stands 1.80 m in height, will now represent the country at the Miss Universe 2012 pageant.

The 1st runner-up or “Dama de Honor” was Aranzazu Estevez Godoy, Miss Las Palmas; she is 22 years old and stands 1.81 m in height. She will represent Spain at the Miss World 2012 pageant in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, next July.

The 2nd runner-up was Ana Crespo Rodríguez, Miss Valencia- Ana is 22 years old, 1.76 m tall and will compete in the Miss International 2012 pageant to take place in China.

Completing the top 6, were the delegates from Alicante (4th), Guipúzkoa (5th) and Málaga (6th). They will represent Spain in pageants such as Reina Hispanoamericana and Reina Internacional del Café.

Among the Top 12 semi finalists were also the beauties from Badajoz, Murcia, Pontevedra, Sevilla, Tarragona and Tenerife.

52 contestants competed in this year’s event, representing each province of Spain. The pageant returned to television for the first time since 2008.

19 year old Kimberly Legget from Palau Pinang was crowned Miss Universe Malaysia 2012 during a pageant held at the Sunway Pyramid Hotel in Petaling Jaya. She was crowned by Deborah Henry, Miss Universe Malaysia 2011.

Standing 176m tall, Kimberly Legget has a British/Malay descent. She will be the official entry of Malaysia in Miss Universe 2012 contest next year.

MISS PUERTO RICO UNIVERSE 2012 - Bodine Koehler Peña

19-year old Bodine Koehler Peña was crowned Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2012 during the conclusion of a live televised event held at the Centro de Bellas Artes Luis Ferré in San Juan. Standing 1.82 m in height, Bodine has been modeling since age 13 and speaks four languages. She has Dutch and Dominican ancestry, making her a true “universal” beauty. She will represent Puerto Rico in the Miss Universe 2012 pageant to be held in Mexico.

The 1st runner-up was Vanessa de Roide, Miss Carolina, who will compete in the Miss Intercontinental 2012 pageant; Gabriela Berrío from Toa Alta was the 2nd runner-up and will represent the Island in the Miss Supranational 2012 competition in Poland; Jennifer Guevara, Miss Arroyo will go to Miss Continente Americano 2012, and Miss Aguas Buenas, Nadyalee Torres, will compete in Top Model of the World.

Laury Thilleman (born July 30, 1991) is a French beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss France 2011 on December 4, 2010. She made the top 10 at Miss Universe 2011.

Thilleman, who stands 1.79 m (5 ft 10 1⁄2 in) tall, competed as Miss Bretagne in her country's national beauty pageant, Miss France 2011, held in Caen, where she would become the eventual winner of the title, gaining the right to represent France in the 2011 Miss Universe.

Thilleman was France’s contestant in Miss Universe 2011 pageant held in Sao Paulo (Brazil) and ranked in top 10 (5rst runner up), her 2nd runner-up in Miss France pageant, Clémence Olesky (Miss Auvergne) will represent France into the Miss World pageant, which will be held in London. In a phone interview with the newspapers Première, she had been asked what she thought about the pageant winner (Leila Lopes, Miss Angola), she replied, “She was the only girl I didn’t know very well. We didn’t see her much; she was very discreet. She was often in jeans and not wearing makeup. We were all surprised by her win. Many girls made efforts that were not rewarded. I don’t know, something is missing in her temperament. The fact that the competition was held in Brazil surely played a role.” Because of this declaration, the Washington Post made an article considering her words as scandalous, “offering some nasty, sore loser, sour grapes, culturally imperious comments about Miss Angola”

Jasmyn Alexandria Wilkins was born on May 6th 1990 in Chattanooga, TN.
